Troy

February 12, 2004

Boris, my darling, it has been too long since last we were together!

I so fondly remember when you, Ari, Natasha, and I stayed up late into the night, laughing and conversing over caviar and retsina, candlelight flickering with the warm Aegean breeze. My dear, because we simply must do this again, I am planning a party!

It should be a grand event. We’ll take the ‘L,’ a train renowned for its Orient Express-like splendor. The evening’s excursion will take us through time and space, from the grandeur of the Czars’ Moscow to the wonders of ancient Troy. We’ll dine on the finest delicacies, browse exotic markets, absorb the ambiance of distant lands through music and tale, and indulge ourselves once again in the pleasures of friendship and noble causes. Special surprises await our guests!

Please tell your friends and colleagues that the next Latah Trail fundraiser, an unforgettable dinner experience with dancing, music, trinkets and treasures is coming soon! Travelers on this exotic imaginary journey will rendezvous at the University Inn Best Western in Moscow on Friday evening April 23. I’ll write again, with details of this wonderful adventure and how to secure tickets. Until then, my darling, our reunion will only be sweeter for this anticipation!

Longingly,

Helen
