The 25th annual SNAKE RIVER CANYON HALF MARATHON
Sat., March 6, 2004

A thundering herd stampedes up the Snake River!

Yes, the Snake River Canyon Half Marathon, the largest race sponsored by the Palouse Road Runners and the one that brings in the most runners from outside of our area, is a quarter century old! Typically, 300 people run the 13.1-mile course along the Snake River. The out-and-back course is flat, fast and fun. And even if there may be snow on the hills above the canyon, there has never been snow on the race. Never!

Veteran Race Director Gary Bryan at start

New this year are an assistant race director/intern/director in waiting—Brian Zabriskie, and a new, convenient location for one of Gary’s precious Porta-Potties--maybe!!! You’ll just have to run with a full bladder to find out!!!!

Entrance fees are nominal; an entry form can be downloaded from this Web site.

Because the uncomplicated race route may confuse many, here is Gary’s original map of the course:

As always, our co-sponsor for the race is Tri-State Distributors, who have long been the stalwarts of the Palouse running world. Thank you!

Gary Bryan’s baby comes of age—OR—“Dude, where's my Porta-Potty!”
