Shady Lanes
was invented by Team DeMoura, whose members are either not smart enough or too driven by habit to avoid running in the midday heat of summer.  The route passes through old neighborhoods with many mature trees.  Hence the shade, hence the name.  For those intimidated by Moscow's summer heat, there are water fountains in both East City Park and Rotary Park.  The turnaround is at the water fountain near the water tower in Rotary Park. No serious hills on this route.  The Flaunt indicated on the map is explained in the Polk Run text.
