Moscow Mountain Madness
The Moscow Mountain Madness Run began in 1978, when some 60 pioneering runners braved the MMM, and after a 4 year hiatus starting in the late 80’s, the race was reinstated in 1992. After a few years of runners only, bikers were invited to participate, but the bike race was dropped in 2010. The current half-marathon course was instituted in 2011.

Registration is now open for 2019!
Whether you choose 13.1 or 5 miles, you can expect a challenging run along the spine of scenic Moscow Mountain. All courses are mostly technical single-track, but we’ve included some fast logging roads. Wickedly rugged? Yes. But the trails are smooth and the Palouse views will keep you smiling. Serious up, serious down, serious gorgeous.
Can I register on race day? No. Pre‐registration only.
Where are the water stops? For the half-marathon there are water stops at 5.5, 9.5 and 10.75 miles. For the five-miler, there is a water stop at 3 miles.
I haven’t received confirmation of my registration.
We don’t mail out registration confirmations. You can email the race director for confirmation if you really need that warm/fuzzy feeling.
Can my friend ride her bike alongside me while I run? No.
I’ve registered, but I can’t make it to the race. Can I get a refund? Sorry, no refunds.
Can I run with my dog? My cat? My ferret? The answer, again, is no (I promise that we’re nice people.) No animal-partners in this race. This is for the safety of you, your fellow runners and your animal.
Can I run with headphones? You know the answer to this. Safety first. No headphones. Trust us, there’s plenty of birds and silence to enjoy.
What was my time? We’ll post results on the PRR website as soon as we can.
When can I pick up my packet? On the day of the race.
Can I start early/late? Early starts not allowed. Late starts not advised ‐ you will not receive an official time & should not go through the chute at the finish line.
Where are the porta‐potties? At the start and finish.
